Description

JCEO is a private, not-for-profit human service agency that serves the residents of Clinton and Franklin Counties in New York State. All programs are based on JCEO's mission to alleviate poverty through practical, timely, and innovative services that emphasize and develop problem-solving skills for people.

We're currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Facilities Director to oversee Energy Services, Maintenance, and our buildings and grounds.

Salary Range: $55,000.00-$65,000.00

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and supervise all aspects of Energy Services and Maintenance.
  • Oversee building and grounds operations, ensuring routine maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintain a regular schedule for maintenance, safety checks, and equipment inspections.
  • Manage agency vehicles, including maintenance scheduling and record-keeping.
  • Develop and manage cost-effective programs, ensuring record accuracy for Weatherization Assistance Program, Empower NY Program, and Adirondack Energy Technical Group.
  • Coordinate work to meet production targets and fulfill contract requirements.
  • Represent the agency in meetings and training sessions with funding sources and partners.
  • Ensure the maintenance of fiscal, client, and program records.
  • Supervise Energy Services/Maintenance staff and subcontractor work.
  • Train staff in energy services/maintenance techniques and maintain certifications.
  • Promote program objectives and act as a primary liaison with HCR and Empower New York.
  • Complete and submit reports, maintain inventory systems, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Strong background in construction, building maintenance, and vehicle maintenance preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License.

Training and Certifications:
  • Basic Air Sealing, Health & Safety, Lead-Safe Weatherization Practices.
  • EPA Lead Renovator Certification, OSHA 10-Hour Training.
  • Training provided by JCEO with a completion timeline.
